I created Maia Skincare in my kitchen at night while the kids were in bed, researching and trialing every touted organic skincare ingredient I could find. As a full-time solo mama, I wanted something that would nourish my skin as perfectly as expensive brands, but didn't cost the earth.
I have always had a love for natural and organic products as I truly believe they are better for our bodies and the environment. Our skin is our biggest organ and what we put on it gets absorbed! The less toxins the better.
The European Union is even following a more natural stance, having recently moved to ban synthetic retinol from skincare products due to its toxicity. Luckily there is a natural alternative - Bakuchiol - which you will find in our beautiful Follow Your Bliss face oil.

This amazing face oil went through many iterations and trials before the final ingredients were chosen - each selected for their specific benefits - Cacay which has twice the linoleic acid as Rosehip, Kakadu Plum for its vitamin C content, Bakuchiol - nature's retinol, and Carrot Seed as a super antioxidant and natural sun protector, to name a few. It is also infused with a light sprinkle of Frankincense, Lavender and Geranium to give it a boost of additional skin nourishing effects and a subtle yet beautiful scent.

This oil was the first creation in a long line of many, including hyaluronic acid and vitamin C skin serums, amazing regenerative face scrubs, deeply cleansing clay masks and refreshing spritzes, all of which will eventually be rolled out and available from Maia Skincare.
After all, good things take time - Maia has been a gentle manifestation of love and dedication over many months and years.
